Long Winter

While early January allowed clear views of the FD Crockett from Mill Creek, we have 8 more inches of snow at the end of the month….is this still Virginia??? We need Purdy Green’s wood stove in the pilot house–only inside work in this weather! (Photos by Bob Walker)

The original wheel is back in place as John and the crew work on the pilot house. Steering is now functioning. Chuck contemplates cruising the bay.

Framing for the engine room has been completed. The dry exhaust waits for the next step.DSC_0142-Bob-Walker-jan-10
But more snow slows things down once again!!!! The Crocketteers are glad this is NOT the winter that they were working on the stern at CMR!!!!!
