Watercolor artist Kathleen Noffsinger, long time supporter of the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park, created a lovely painting of the F.D. Crockett at the museum docks for the opening of the museum this spring. Kathleen says on her website http://www.kathleennoffsinger.com/
“Inspired by the museum’s 4 1/2 year restoration project and the dedication of the volunteers, I have been following the progress over the last year. In planning the design of my painting I worked from photographs I took from the water last August and met several times with John England, head of the ‘Crocketteers.’ A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this original painting will be donated to the F. D. Crockett Restoration Project.”
The fine art giclees are $60 and artist proofs are $125. If you mention that you saw it on the F.D. Crockett blog, Kathleen will donate 25% to the Deltaville Maritime Museum. To make a purchase, you can contact Kathleen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: 2-28-14. Kathleen generously donated the original of this painting to the museum for it’s collection. It was tragically destroyed in the fire. She still has prints available for sale.
